The purpose of this Data Protection Directive (hereinafter referred to as the “ Directive ”) is to reiterate the privacy standards we observe in the light of the new legislation - Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, more commonly known as GDPR, and related legal documents.
We want you to be sure that your information is safe with us and to understand how we use it to offer you a better user and shopping experience.
1. User registration
When you register, you share your e-mail with the Administrator as personal information, and you share the username and password you chose with the Administrator. Your e-mail is processed as your personal data only in our internal database for the purpose of managing your user account. This administration is also performed by an external entity - the administrator of our website. Data is therefore transferred to this external entity. But you don't have to worry about anything. We have ensured that this external entity maintains all legal standards with respect to your personal data and cannot be misused.
If you register for our system solely to use our services, we do not need your explicit consent to process your personal data. This processing of your email is an essential part of managing your profile. If you decide not to use our services in the future and delete the profile on our site, we are obliged to delete this information from all our databases.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, you share your email with us as personal information. Your e-mail is further processed as your personal data in order to send our commercial communications. These commercial communications will always be related to the content of our e-shop goldenbuds.eu. These can be special offers from our commercial communications and Golden Buds related products operated by us or other related commercial communications. Your e-mail can be used to send us an offer of our marketing competition or a survey conducted by us. However, it will never be a communication that is not related to the content of our website.
We inform you that the newsletter administration is operated through an external marketing application. This means that your email is forwarded to this external entity. But don't worry about your personal information. As mentioned above, we've made sure that our contractual partner will comply with all legal standards when handling your email, so that it cannot be misused.
We process your e-mail subject to your explicit consent to receive such communications. If you wish to revoke this consent in the future, any e-mail containing such notice will include a link to revoke the consent in its header. The consent can also be withdrawn at any time by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. If you withdraw your consent, we will delete you from all our databases and stop sending you any commercial communications. If you change your mind in the future, you can simply subscribe to our newsletter.
3. Marketing and contest
From time to time we hold marketing competitions for interesting prizes. If you choose to participate in our contest, we need your first and last name (including any fictitious nickname), your age to be able to verify that you qualify to participate in this contest and your e-mail to contact them for any winnings in the contest.
If you become a winner, we will continue to contact you to provide contact information to send you the winnings. Of course, when you send your winnings, your personal information is transferred to the carrier. In this case too, we have ensured that the legal standards of protection of your personal data are respected and are not misused.
When filling in the competition form, you always have the opportunity to give us permission to receive commercial messages, which are described in more detail in the previous section “ Newsletter ”. At this point, you can further learn how your personal data will be handled.
4. Cookies and similar technology
When you browse our website, we use technology to make it as easy as possible for you to navigate. These are mainly so-called cookies - short text files that the server places on your computer when the website is loaded. Technically, this is a series of codes that your browser collects and then sends your behaviour information back to our server. Cookies are not directly linked to your name or email address but often contain your login information.
Cookies for tracking website traffic are processed based on our legitimate interests. Ad targeting cookies are processed with your consent. Collecting information about your behaviour on the Web is enabled in your initiative, expressed as active by checking the " I agree ", which follows the warning at the bottom of the website, worded as follows: " Web site operator, as the administrator of personal data processing on this website cookies sweat simultaneously has the effects for the functioning of the website and for analytical purposes and in case your consent and for retargeting. ". The consent to the collection of cookies for marketing purposes can be withdrawn at any time by changing the settings of the respective Internet browser. Of course, the site can also be used in a mode that does not allow the collection of data about your behaviour on our site.
5. Order in the e-shop
When you buy in our Golden Buds e-shop, we process the following information you enter: name, surname, e-mail, telephone, your billing information (including your identification number and VAT number, if you have one) and your correspondence information if they are not identical with the billing information. We further process your personal data in our internal database in order to fulfil our contractual obligations - in particular sending the goods you have ordered.
In connection with your purchase in our e-shop there are several cases of transfer of your personal data to another subject:
- Our website is managed by an external company. It has access to this content as part of the administration of our website.
- Your personal information is passed on to an external accountant to fulfil our legal obligations.
- Handing over your personal data to the carrier (alternatively, you can pick up your order at your door from our delivery services transport company).
- Handing over your personal information to your selected payment service provider.
But you don't have to worry about anything. We have ensured that all of these external entities will comply with all legal standards with respect to your personal data and that your personal data cannot be misused.
If you have placed an order on our e-shop, we can send you another offer of our goods or services without your explicit consent. If you are not interested in this offer, each email containing such notice will include a link to unsubscribe from our offer in its header.
6. How we protect personal information
We enforce physical, electronic, and process security when collecting and storing your personal information. To keep your personal information secure:
- We use computer security such as file passwords and firewalls.
- We enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files.
- We only grant access to your personal information to employees who need it to perform their work duties.
- During the transfer of your data when purchasing at our Golden Buds e-shop, we protect the security of your information by encrypting it with a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
- In cases where your personal information is transferred to another processor (such as the administrator of our website), we have ensured that each other processor complies with all legal standards with respect to your personal data and that your personal data cannot be misused.
7. How long we have been using personal information
We only store your personal information for as long as necessary. The purpose for which these data have been collected must always be taken into account. If the legal reason for their retention has already passed, we are obliged to delete your personal data from all our databases. This will in particular be the withdrawal of your consent to the processing of your personal data.
Please note that sometimes deleting your personal information from one of our databases may prevent the fulfilment of legal obligations - for example, registering the billing information of e-shop customers.
